Living Simply

“They are to do good, to be rich in good works, generous and ready to share, thus storing up for themselves the treasure of a good foundation for the future, so that they can take hold of the life that really is life.”
 – 1 Timothy 6: 18-19

Dear Friends of Edinboro Presbyterian Church,

When the Spirit fell on Pentecost, the first Christians shared what they had with each other and those in need. Today’s church is called to be generous too. Like a living fire, our shared generosity can be Spirit-filled.

Edinboro Presbyterian Church exists as evidence of God’s generous love known to us in Jesus Christ. Our Live Simply emphasis has helped us see the importance of setting our hopes on God, living richly in a deeper sense. This way of living is a priceless treasure and also the solid foundation upon which we can build our lives.

To date, our personal commitments to the church’s ministry have reached 26 pledges totaling $70,010. To give you some idea of where we stand, the budget for the 2016 fiscal year was $165,850.

The Session will be meeting soon to set the budget for 2017, and that budget will, in part, be based on your pledges to support the ministry of the church. I want to encourage you to make your pledge by the Sunday, November 13th worship service during which we will dedicate these pledges to God’s plan for our congregation.

If you are not willing to make a pledge, would you be willing to make a financial gift to support the ministry of this congregation? You can do so by going here: http://www.easytithe.com/edinboropres

As God’s people called to do good, to be rich in good works, and to be generous and ready to share, we look forward to using the gifts with which we have been entrusted to fulfill God’s call to ministry as faithful servants of Jesus Christ.

Together we can reach out to others as stewards of God’s abundant love and grace!

The grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you,
Rev. Matt Falco
